It doesn't matter how much we get

Today one of my old classmate has sent me a photo of him when he was getting a short term monk practice in a Buddhist Temple.
I congratulated him as this is a golden chance in life and is a wise choice too.
He told me that he 1did not learn much  in that short period.

I replied him and said, the idea of away from home to become a monk (or any practice) is not matter how much we can gain but is how much we can let go.
We are all too burden with unwanted/unnecessary worries, agony,
delusion ....... All of us are too heavy to relax and hard to have a moment of peace of mind(too much burden).

We need to let go as much as possible and as soon as possible in order to become light (free from suffering).
Buddha taught us:
Even Dhamma we need to let go (can not cling to Dhamma) what some more these impermanent worldly things?
Only when we let go we create space for better things to enter our life.

No doubt without these materials things we can't live a proper life. So apart from work hard to earn wealth to exchange for what we need, we need to work hard to let go of things that will not help us in approaching Nirvana(eternal happiness).

It doesn't matter how much we get but how much we can let go matter. The more we let go the lighter we are.
We only lose what we cling to.
