His eyes are pure brilliant light, limitless like the 4 big oceans.

In Amitabha's realm of infinite light, countless Buddhas are transformed .

Homage to the kind and compassion Amitabha Buddha of the western Pure Land

Namo Amitabha Buddha(3X)

I wish that I can be born in Pure Land.

Nine Grades of lotus will be my parents. When the Lotus blooms I attain enlightenment, all the bodhisattvas will be my companion.

Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss (Xi Fang Ji Le Shi Jie)

This is the Buddha Land of Amitabha Buddha. In Amitabha Sutra. (Amituo Jing (阿弥陀经)

There is full description about this Pure Land. This is the world of utmost joy without suffering(极乐). With the spiritual power of Amitabha Buddha, all beings in this world will understand Dhamma easily and practise diligently, and attain enlightenment eventually.

Therefore by reciting Amitabha Buddha's name, Buddhist followers hope that they will be born in this Pure Land after their lives on earth.

Who is Amitabha Buddha?

Before he became a monk, he was a king (was called Shi Rao Wang 世饶王). He was a good king. People in that country loved him so much.

He had everything in His palace but he was sad to see people in his country living in suffering.

Apart from helping them in material form, he can’t do anything else to ease their suffering.

At the end he decided to leave his palace to become a monk, because only through hard practice he could be enlightened to be a Buddha, then he could help a lot of suffering souls.

The Buddha at that time was Shi Jian Zi Zai Wang Fo (世间自在王佛). He had stayed for 42 kalpas ( a very long period of time) to deliver His Dhamma.

Sh

Shi Rao Wang was called Fa Zang Bikkhu (法藏比丘) then.

Fa Zang Bikkhu was very hard working. He practiced very hard.

The Buddha was very happy to have such a good student.

Shi Jian Zi Zai Wang Buddha blessed Fa Zang Bikkhu with all the goodness and has showed him the conditions and the environment of 210 billion worlds.

Fa Zang Bikkhu studied every expects (happiness and sorrows)

in 210 billion worlds. He chose only the good and forgoes the bad (negative), that was how Xi Fang Ji Le Shi Jie was formed.

Xi Fang means western direction.

Ji Le means ultimate happiness (no suffering at all).

Shi Jie means world.

Xi Fang Ji Le Shi Jie (Western Blisful Pureland) is a world without suffering.

We are facing all sorts of suffering in this Samsara world, we shall decide and prepare ourselves to migrate to a better place when our life span has end one day (Visa due)!

"NAMO A-MI-TUO FO"

One may repeat it in Sanskrit 'Namo Amitabha Buddha' which literally means 'Homage to the Amitabha Buddha ' or 'I seek refuge in the Amitabha Buddha'.

Calling the Buddha's name with full faith is known to the Chinese as 'NIAN-FO' meaning 'Prayer-recitation'. The Japanese term for this practice is known as 'Nembutsu'.

In this practice three important qualities must be present in the mind: Sincerity, Faith and Aspiration to be reborn in the Pure Land.
