A woman was very depressed and wanted to end her life once because she met with a terrible husband ( betrayed her and irresponsible).
She was lucky to meet Buddhist Dhamma.
A Dhamma master told her to concentrate recite Amituofo and forget about the sad (bad) situation she encountered.
She followed excactly what the master told.
She lead a buddhist way of life since then.
I met her lately, she looks absolutely well and cheerful.
I asked her, after all these years, has her husband changed?
She said , "No, I changed myself !
I listened to the Dhamma master's advice,
I learned and applied what Buddha had taught,
I over come my hatred, greed and delusion and
I see things differently now."
We can see happiness actually not from outside(others).
True happiness is from our mind (cultivate Dhamma).
She recite Amituofo, she surrender herself to Amitabha Buddha to help her to make arrangement, she has less burden(mind) and she recovered from her depression.
Now she is living happily and help others to find happiness through Dhamma way.
She tolerate her husband and treat him as her good teacher that who always posts difficult test questions to her.
These difficult situations will not defeat her but to make her
become more compassion and increase her wisdom.
She said, there are two things that she cultivates hard:
Compassion Kindness and Wisdom.
Another two things that she is looking for are:
Health and Happiness.
Master Chin Kung taught:
Compassion Kindness is be kind to ourselves and be kind to others.
Wisdom is to live a truthful and serene life. Do no harm to ourselves and do no harm to others,this include has no bad thought toward others (never curse and speak bad about others).
