Pureland Practitioner can sincerely perform the morning and evening Pureland Practice everyday.
It will surely eradicate (remove) our karmic obstacles , increase our good roots(wisdom) and strengthen our faith, vows and practice.
These three (Faith,Vow, Practice)
are very important in Pureland Practice.
Faith, Vow and Practice:
(Xin, Yuan, Xing)
~ Have faith in Amituofo,
~Vow to go to His Blissful Pureland
~ Nian Fo is the main practice.
Offering
We offer a glass of plain water in front of Buddha means to cultivate our mind as pure as the water.
In our daily living ,when we bathe drink, as long as to do with water,we can visualize in purifying our mind inside out as pure and as clean as the water.
A glass of plain water.
Preferable a transparent glass so that we can see the water.
Offering of flowers
Offering flowers means to cultivate good cause.
When we see flowers anywhere that will remind us to cultivate good cause.
Offering 4 pieces of fruits means to cultivate good effect.(cause and effect)
Pureland Practitioner recite Amituofo is cultivating good cause.
A Mi Tuo Fo is a serene phrase.
When we recite Amituofo, our body is in good manner.
Our mouth is free from meaningless speech.
Our mind is free from greed, hatred and ignorant.
These are all good causes.
We will receive good effect in the end of the day.
Light means Wisdom.
Teaching us to handle things with wisdom but not with our emotion.
(Like or dislike)
Bowing to Buddha is paying respect to our great teacher. In the other hand means to cultivate humble.
Just like the Muslims, they will bow when they practicing their prayers.
When we bow, we put our head lower than our buttock. This is to cultivate humble, learn to respect others and to
remove our egoism.
Other than that, bowing actions are also a type of good exercise.
This action will involve our whole body when we bow.
Our back bone, neck, armpits, ankles, groins (between belly and thigh) which can not reach by normal exercises.
By bowing actions, it will also exercise our internal organs.
(lungs, diaphragm )
We called this action as Pai Fo.
Gentle and correct steps of bowing:

Put our palms together ( to draw back our attention and calm down)
Slowly bow until touch our forehead on the floor.
This action is like Yoga exercise. When we bow like that, we feel some squeezing effects to our external limbs and internal organs. This will exercise the parts of our body.
