Time will not wait for us

Dhamma Practice is not only for old people,

Dhamma is a perfect life education and it is suitable

for everybody regardless of age, races and religion.

Buddhism is not a religion. It is an Education. A perfect life education.

Master Chin Kung’s first teacher; Mr Fang Dong Mei has said,

“Buddhist Dhamma is the highest philosophy in the world and practice

Dhamma is the highest enjoyment.”

Mr Fang was a great philosopher.

He was not a Buddhist. At one time he was very sick and has gone to a

temple in the country side for a rest to regain his health.

The temple is in a mountain side and is far away from town. There was no newspaper or any other reading materials, in the temple there were only Buddhist Sutras.

As nothing to do in such a quiet place, Mr Fang spent times (a few months) to read the Buddhist Sutras.

He found that Buddhist Sutras are like priceless jewels/treasures.

He recommended Dhamma to Master Chin Kung, from there Master Chin Kung began his Dhamma Practice Life. Master was young at that time, about twenty over years old. Now Master is already 83 years old, he has been delivered Dhamma Teaching

for a period of 53 years long.

Learning should start from young.

Dhamma Practice is not for old people, Nian Fo is not only for funeral purpose.

When we are younger, our memory is good, eye side is clearer, physically is fit, it is good for Dhamma Practice.

When we get older, time is shorter for us, physically is not that fit already, Master Chin Kung advice those older Pure Land Practitioner to concentrate in Amituofo recitation will do. Don’t worry about no time to read the Sutras.

The main purpose of reading Sutras and Dhamma Books is to understand deeper about the teaching of Buddha. This is help to built stronger faith in the practice.

If we have absolute confident in Amituofo (will solve our problems) then, faithfully Nian Fo will be more than enough.

You see, it is so simple and convenience. Amituofo can be recite by anybody at any time and any where, there is no barrier of time and space at all.

Beside the morning and evening recitation (zao ke and wan ke), we can recite Amituofo during our daily chores.

I will recite Amituofo while walking, ironing, cooking, washing dishes, driving, sweeping the floor,

even watching TV (sometimes accompany children and husband to watch TV, but silently I recite Amituofo.)

In this way I don’t waste a single minute of my time, I won’t feel tired and will be more patience in everything I do.

Amituofo recitation is a good practice. It is a good training of mindfulness.

I will ask myself frequently,

(while hanging clothes, while preparing the food, while watering the plants etc.)

“Where am I now? Is with Amituofo or with the 2Ds’? (delusion and distraction thought)

When I check myself like this, I can

pull my disturbed mind back to mindfulness.

Don’t waste time and energy in unnecessary thinking.

It is better to Nian Fo than use up my energy in the useless 2Ds’.

There are Dhamma Practitioners go and asked Master Chin Kung, when people scold us or that person is very impatience, what should we do?

Master said, ‘ You Nian Amituofo will do.’( ni niao Amituofo jiu hao la!)

You see, such a wise way to deal with problems we encounter in life.

Need not to get angry and disturb by

the people and environment.

Nian Fo to cultivate mindfulness.

(chan ding 禅定)

Mindfulness will help in preserving our inner energy, our mind can think better and physically we will be healthier.

Master Chin Kung said, most of our sickness is due to the 2Ds’.

We worry excessively;

we are always in the angry mode;

we are too greedy in possessing world things (wealth and fame).

All of us are like that. Previously we don’t realize, with Dhamma lessons now, we are awaken a little day by day, we will live a better and happier life if we live a Dhaamma way of life.

Dhamma is the anchor in the storm.

(will save us in the Samsara storm)

Dhamma is the compass/GPS.

(will guide us to the destination)

Dhamma is the map.

(will help us to find the treasure in Xi

Fang Ji Le Shi Jie)

Dhamma is the best nutrient for our mind and soul (zi xing 自性).

Dhamma practice is essential for everyone.

Now we have a chance to hear and practice Dhamma, it is better to appreciate and practice it diligently.

Lead a Buddhist Dhamma way of life.

This way of life will lead us to a brighter and happy life.

May Amituofo bless all of you. Amituofo……..
